The DAST is a 5-10 minute test for use with a puretone audiometer to identify children three years or older likely to have a serious hearing loss. It is for the use of health professionals, Headstart, daycare and social services personnel.

One form may be used to screen the same child on 2 different occasions.
Forms come in pads of 25.

Designed to be used with the DAST Training Videotape below. Explains DAST procedures and includes written questions and answers. Minimum seventh grade reading ability required: 30 pages.

Similar to the Manual/Workbook except does not contain written questions and answers: 13 pages.

For use with the DAST Manual/Workbook (above) by those who will administer the DAST. Demonstrates each step in audiometric screening. A brief instructor's guide is included, along with a printed student proficiency test. Instructors should make sufficient copies of the proficiency test so that each student has one. Must be used with DAST Manual/Workbook (above).
